Fourth of July Celebration

We had a busy, but exciting Independence Day.

The morning began with a parade....

Liv, Ella, Lola and Emma wating for the parade to begin.

The motorcycle was Lola's favorite!

In the afternoon, we ate lunch, took naps and went swimming.

That evening, we had a barbeque and set off fireworks at my parent's house....

I didn't know Shannon actually took this picture.

....Swinging....

July 3rd

On Thursday (July 3rd), we went to Kearney for the Fireworks Show.

Lola watched from the sunroof.

"Take a picture of my foot."

"Now take a picture of this foot!"
(She got a bit restless waiting for the fireworks to start!)

Liv slept peacefully in her seat.

Say "Cheese"!

Drinking Daddy's pop!

A Little Fireworks Show

On Tuesday night, my sister, Jes and I decided to put on a little fireworks show for the girls. Kasey and Shannon were both gone so we decided to forgo the larger, more exciting fireworks for for simpler ones, like snakes and sparklers! We invited Jess Bislow and Melissa Hindal over along with their children to share in the festivities! The kids were very easily entertained and we each had a lot of fun!

Note: There are very few pictures of actual fireworks. Not only was I the picture taker, but the fireworks lighter as well. The girls were kind enough not to take pictures of me lighting and running!

Me with the girls. This is the last and only picture of Liv for the night as she went to bed.

Snakes! Even the two year olds thought these were lame!

They're waiting for something exciting to happen!

Ella with a sparkler!

Eating S'mores!

Lola shared hers with Sarah.

She like it!

After s'mores and finishing our supply of fireworks, we sat on the corner and watched some larger fireworks down the street. The kids were clapping and cheering for more. One of our neighbors, Mike, went down and bought some fancy fireworks and brought them to our house to set off. It was pretty cool. Therefore, what was meant to be a small fireworks show, turned into a pretty exciting night!

Church Picnic

On Sunday evening, we gathered together at the Frerich's Farm for our church picnic. It was a great time had by all.

Kasey, Lola, Dad and Olivia looking over the land.

Lola wanted a picture with the cows. If you look close enough, you can see one in the background!

We roasted hotdogs over the fire.

Emily helped Lola jump on the trampoline.

Liv enjoyed a turn too!
