County Fair and Car Show

The county fair always brings excitement to our little ladies' summer....

One of our family's favorite summertime activities is to attend the Annual Car Show and Cruise Night. It's always hot and I'm usually pregnant, however this year was different as the weather was very mild and the only baby I was carrying could easily be placed into a stroller!

July (so far)!

With the busyness of summer, my blogging schedule is no longer daily or even weekly, but has now become bi-monthly! I thought I'd better post some of our more exciting events to keep everyone up to date.....

The "Loschen Gang" got together for a BBQ and some backyard swimming.

Lena and I went to Lincoln to visit Jake and Emily's new baby boy, Brenden.


The Gustafson's came for a visit. Lola was very impressed with their boys, Gray and Jake!


Beth is a dear friend of mine and we always have fun when we are together.


We ate lunch together at the Frosty Mug.


Liv cleaned up everyone's plate while the others played arcade games!


The girls and I swim (or surf) almost every day. Lola has become quite the underwater swimmer!


We enjoyed several nights of fireworks at our home.


I guess some appeared to be more excited....


...than others!

The Fourth of July!

We went to the Hildreth Parade on the Fourth of July with Emma and RJ.

Happy July!

After viewing this family picture a friend took of us, we decided that it was time for Liv to give up the pacifier which she had still been using at bedtime. She has now been without it for over a week and has recovered nicely. Liv is also close to conquering "the diaper". July has been a big month of training for our Livi Jane!

Fresh Bouquets and a Bunny Friend

One of my favorite things about Spring is having fresh bouquets of flowers in the house. Unfortunately, I'm on my last bouquet as the flowers outside are beginning to dry up and wilt. So I thought I'd post these pictures to look at anytime!






One morning, Kasey and I watched this little bunny outside a window. Now we see him quite often as he lives under our rose bush. The girls have named him Bob!

We went to the lake for a picnic with Grandma, Jes, Ella and Calvin. It was too cold to swim so the girls threw rocks into the lake.

Lola had her Spring Program and Graduation at Preschool.

We went to the carnival at the mall. The girls had a blast, especially Liv. She still talks about riding the "horsies", cars, elephants and train.


This picture was taken when Lena was 3 weeks old. I just found it. Her thighs are a bit bigger now!
