Trip to Omaha

We took a much needed "mini-vacation" to Omaha this weekend. We spent our days lounging in our hotel room, swimming, visiting our friends, Jason and Lindsay and their kids Gavin and Bailey, swimming, enjoying some Mexican cuisine with our friends Steve, Jenna and Owen, shopping, and swimming! Lola enjoyed playing with her little friends, eating whatever she wanted for breakfast at the hotel and, of course, swimming! It was a very fun and relaxing weekend for us all.

Emma, Trace and Baby Ellie

We had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with friends this week. On Sunday, Kyle, Holly and Emma came to town. Holly brought some spaghetti for us to make and the boys went hunting. Lola loves playing with Emma and they hadn't been together since Christmas so they exchanged presents! When Kasey and Kyle got home, we ate and gave the girls baths. It was a great night!

On Monday, Kasey did some work at Caleb and Jess's new house. Jess and I served dinner at our house before the guys went to work. All Lola could talk about that day was Trace. She was so excited to have him at her house. Once he finally got there, they had a lot of fun!

On Thursday, we went to see our friends Nichole and Jeff in the hospital. They had a beautiful baby girl, Ellie Ann. We missed seeing Meredith, Ellie's big sister, as she had been at the hospital most of the day and went home tired. We hope all is going well with you and your girls at home, Nichole!

Sesame Street Live!

Kasey's sister, Karli, got Lola tickets to "Sesame Street Live" for Christmas. Jes, Shannon and Ella decided to go as well. Lola and Ella both had a lot of fun watching Elmo and Big Bird! Thanks for the tickets, Karli and Alexis!

Recent Happenings

The past few days have been very busy at the Loschen home. We celebrated Lola's 2nd birthday on Thursday with cake and supper (which included corn on the cob - Lola got to choose the menu). Then on Saturday, Jen and Olivia were both sick so Lola spent the day with Grandma and Ella. On Sunday, we went to church then had a birthday party for Lola with family and a few of her little friends. We've had a lot of fun (and cake) the past few days.

This was taken on Lola's birthday. We have a great video of her trying to sneak a lick off the side. If you were to see another angle of the cake, you would notice a lot of frosting was missing!

I had to snap this shot on Sunday. Their Sunday School lesson was God gives us warm things. They were coloring their pictures in their warm gloves....so cute!

The party.

The cake (it's an owl).

Poor Liv wasn't quite feeling 100% yet.

Of all the fun toys the girls had to play with in the garage, they wanted to be up in Lola's room reading books!

Olivia Look-alike Meter

Well it's official now (because the look-alike meter is so official - ha, ha), both the girls look more like their daddy! We always thought it was true, but now we have proof. I'm always telling him I'd like at least one child to look like me! Check out this link we found off the Bislow Blog. It's pretty fun to play around with....

Happy Birthday, Lola!

Lola is two years old today! While watching this slide show, Kasey noted how fast time has gone by....it seems like yesterday we were holding her for the first time. Lola is very excited for the day. She is wearing a dress with her favorite black patent leather shoes!

Happy New Year!

May God bless you and your home in 2008....Happy New Year!

We spent New Year's Eve with family and friends. The night began in Kearney where we met the Ziegler's and Carraher's for dinner at Applebee's (sorry - no pictures - our battery was dead). Then we sent Lola home with Grandma and Papa and went to Alyssa Bislow's house in Holdrege. Alyssa has the cutest little house and was an excellent hostess. Caleb and Jess Bislow, Chase Bislow and Melissa Hindal were there too. Our group was small, but a lot of fun.....in fact, we were having so much fun we missed the count down to midnight!
Playing games and eating.

Olivia spent the night "partying" with Mommy and Daddy.

Sparkling Grape Juice over a game of "Apples to Apples" at midnight (or 12:20)!
