A Little Duet by Lola and Ella

It all started with Lola singing on a chair while Ella played the xylophone. Then Ella joined in with the singing. Notice the carefully selected attire for the concert as well as the choices of song (unfortunately they did not coincide with one another). All I can say is, American Idol.....watch out!

There are two parts because my camera stopped between filming....

Unfortunately, the band broke up after an altercation over microphones. Someone always wants to be the "lead singer" in these situations! Their fans are hoping they reunite soon.....

The Petting Zoo

Every year my school opens a petting zoo of farm animals. Mom brought Lola over and she went through the experience of petting and holding the animals. Her favorites were the puppies, horse, baby calf and little lambs. She was very excited to have such free access to that many animals at once!

Sitting on a "big" horse!

Lola liked this puppy. She wanted to take him home!

He liked her too!

The Muffin Maker

Lola loves to help make muffins......

Her favorite part is putting the paper muffin cups into the pan. She counts them as she goes. Sometimes she counts 12 muffins. Sometimes she counts 9....or 11...or 15....

"I did it! I made muffins!"So cute!

The Bakers are Back!

Our friends, Robert and Amber Baker were visiting friends and family in town this weekend. On Sunday night we had dinner with them at my parents' home. Olivia got spoiled by their girls, Ashley, Brooke, and Sierra (Hailey was sick). They were all more than happy to carry her around all night. Lola dressed up in a tiger costume, ate a lot of pickles and ice cream for supper and read books with Ashley!! She's not bizarre, she's just 2! We went to a movie later that night and left Brook and Sierra at our house to babysit Lola and Olivia. Lola was still going strong when we arrived home after 10:00.....I think she had fun!

The Weekend is Here!

After a long week, our weekend is finally here! The weather has been warmer these past few days so we've been able to sit and play on the sun porch. This has been a nice alternative to being cooped up with the snow days we've been experiencing!

We just spent an hour talking to Rob (my brother) on "Skype". This is Lola's favorite new thing. Through our computer cameras we can talk to one another online. Lola is very impressed with being able to see and talk to Uncle Robbi on our computer and Rob enjoys being able to see the girls play at home. I like it because it's free and we can see friends and family that we don't normally get to see.

The girls helped me do a little laundry. When we were done, Lola turned the basket into a boat....

Lola imitating Liv!

Liv didn't last too long in the boat!
