First Day of School

Lola had her "first day of school" yesterday. She participated in preschool round-up at Grace Lutheran School where my mom works. She won't actually attend regularly until she's three (next January), but she still went through the experience. She was so proud of herself and it's all Kasey and I have heard about for the past week. What will we do when she goes two days a week?!?!?

Sharing candy with Papa.

Easter Sunday

Hold hands.....

...and smile!

Hey, big girl!

Lola loved her pretty dress.

Aunt Karli had an Easter Egg Hunt for Lola and Lexi.

Lola got sidewalk chalk in her eggs. She was pretty excited!

It was an exhausting weekend.

Easter (part 1)

Dying Easter Eggs

Lola prayed for the eggs before we began.

Lola liked stirring the eggs.

Liv enjoyed the show from the floor.

Sadly, I did not get a picture of the finished product. What was I thinking!!!!
The girls really enjoyed the project and gave away the eggs that did not get broken from them carrying them around all day!

Flying Kites

Shannon and Jes bought the girls kites for Easter. Saturday was a windy day so we tried to fly them. Saturday was also a sunny day....so the girls "needed" their sunglasses!

Grandma brought out snacks so we took a break!

We spent some time later that day playing with our friend Melissa's girls, Bryannah, Caitlyn and Sarah. The girls found a new hiding place under this tree.

Caitlyn, Lola, Bryannah and Ella.

Emma's Birthday

Yes, I'm a bit behind on blogging, but here's a little catch-up of what we've been up to. Over the weekend we went to Ballocity to celebrate Emma's birthday. The girls hadn't been together for a while so they enjoyed playing with one another.

Emma and Lola.

Kasey and Kyle taking the girls down the slides!

Both of Kasey's Grandmas are in the hospital so we spent a lot of the weekend visiting them.

Lola enjoyed playing catch with Uncle Jerry....

....and sharing her ball with Cousin Lexi!

Olivia was given a bath in the sink at the hospital.

She liked it!

Ballocity and Bowling

On Wednesday (I'm a bit behind on blogging), Olivia had a doctor's appointment so we took off work a bit early to take her in. After the appointment (and a quick trip to Walmart), we met family at the Big Apple where they recently installed an enormous play center with slides, tunnels and a ball pit. Ella and Lola had a blast running around while seven adults chased after them....they have a lot of energy! Kasey, Rob and Shannon had just as much fun shooting the balls at one another with the guns! After playing in Ballocity, we ate burgers and bowled a few games.

From Precious to Picasso

When we came to get Lola out of bed this morning, this is what we found:

So precious.....

Then this evening, she colored on the wall and the tile floor!

She was so proud of herself and came running to tell me about the circles she had drawn. As I disciplined and scrubbed, I found it difficult not to congratulate her on her circles. I had to bite my tongue from telling her what a great drawing it was (I can never get her to draw circles when I want her to)! She now tells us all (even Olivia) that we only draw on paper!

Our little "Picasso"!

See the Resemblance?

Just when we think our girls couldn't be any more different, we come across pictures like these:
