Celebrating Christmas

Here is one massive post to include all of our Christmas celebrations. Frustratingly enough, my camera was not at the top of its game for the entire week so our pictures are either fuzzy or have an orange tint to them. It seemed to work better when I took pictures in black/white. Turns out that it was just the battery. Here are a few of our memories.....

Our cousin, Jill, and her husband, Will were back visiting from Las Vegas. We were excited to have them visit and bring their new son, Hudson.

Olivia, Emelene and Lola dressed for the Christmas program. Sadly, my camera was at its worst on this particular night. Therefore, this was the only picture I had to share.

Christmas Eve

Shannon, Jes, Kasey and I had some fun "dressing up" for Christmas Eve at my parents' home. Kasey's outfit included a lot of polyester. Hopefully, I will be adding more pictures of our outfits in the future.....

Singing "Silent Night" with guitars.

Christmas Morning

Lola and Lena were the first to wake. Knowing that Liv (and Daddy) would sleep in as late as possible, we had agreed that the girls could play with their presents whenever they woke up. To their extreme delight, each of the girls received a new baby.

Even Lena enjoyed holding - and chewing on :) - her new little one! I have a good feeling that she'll be a good "mommy" like her sisters within a few short months.

Most of all, we knew Liv would be thrilled to have a little baby of her own. She is our busiest little mommy by far.
We were right! More than one hour later, Liv woke up to find her new baby. She got to work caring for her "Baby Lena" immediately!

Stockings

Stockings filled with books, games, movies and toothbrushes!

Liv and her stocking.

Lena snagging toothbrushes.

Liv was very proud of her new toothbrushes!

More baby play.

The future's most caring mommy ever!
Really......Lola is such a sweet and loving mommy, but so indecisive when it comes to naming her baby :). She has changed her mind several times all ready. We might one day have grandchildren named: Serefina, Jamie, Jackie, Willie, Sparkles, and/or Cooley :).

Lena

Lena...again.
I couldn't decide...both pictures were so cute!

Christmas at the White House

Eating in the East Wing of the White House!
Grandma Delores always invites us to celebrate Christmas in the East Wing of the White House. One of my favorite family sayings! We love going to Papa Jay and Grandma Dee's big white house each Christmas.

The kids' favorite toy in Grandma's closet is this old paper towel tube. They march around the big house playing it like a horn or using it as a microphone.
As you can see, Calvin is on his way to take down Liv for this popular toy :).

Ella and Lola waiting patiently for presents.

Present time!

Grandma made each of the kids bags with some exciting activities in them. Lola was excited about her glitter crayons.

Liv and her crayons.

Lena received a baby from Grandma as well as a new hand sewn quilt.

This picture was taken before our Christmas celebration with the Loschens on New Year's Eve. This was the last picture taken before my battery officially died. Thankfully, my sister-in-law took several pictures for us. Once I have them, I will share.
To be continued.....

Merry Christmas!

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
“ Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.

Merry Christmas!

8 Roses....for 8 Years

This beautiful bouquet of roses was delivered to me today from my wonderful husband of 8 years.

With you....I'd do 80 more.
Love you, Kasey!
