Meet Wrigley

Earlier this fall, our four year old dog, Hank, died suddenly. Hank went everywhere with Kasey and was wonderful with both girls. We miss him often.

For Kasey's birthday, I asked him what he might want. To my surprise, he said a new dog. We found a litter of yellow labs with an impressive hunting background a few hours away. Therefore,......meet Wrigley!

Wrigs is already Lola's best buddy!

This is not the last you will see of Wrigs, I'm sure!

You'll be busy with a puppy and a baby! If I didn't think you were crazy before.... just kidding! :)
It is a great gift and I hope it will help heal the hurt from losing Hank. And Lola LOVES him already. How fun! I'll look forward to seeing more pictures as he grows.

Amy gives me a hard time about our puppy too :P

It's so hard to lose a pet, but how fun to have a new puppy.

Funny Story: We took Wrigs out to meet my grandparents and Grandpa told Kasey and I the story of when he and Grandma were expecting their third child. Keep in mind, their children were about the same distance apart as our children. When he and Grandma told his mother (my Great-Grandmother) that Grandma was pregnant, she just rolled her eyes and sarcastically said to Grandpa, "Well why don't you just get her a puppy too. Then she'll actually have something to do!"

When Grandpa finished with this story, I asked him, "Well, did you get Grandma a puppy?", knowing how much he loves having a dog around. Looking at Kasey, he replied, "Nope! I knew better than to do that!"

As you can imagine, this story gave us all a good giggle!
